Season Finale Part 11:

This was a night of people leaving the Dubrow’s in droves and none of them were happy.

Starting off Tamra and Gretchen go off to talk. G. gives T. a bracelet which is quite beautiful; very symbolic of T’s life and their friendship. Like Tamra, I would be cry as well if I was her. They have a very touching conversation about letting go of their past and being able to move forward. However, this is still a bit freaky to me knowing how much they hated each other in the not-too-distant past.

Next scene: Heather confronting Sarah in the kitchen. She grabs all the women and men to get Sarah out of their house. Sarah, the whole time, looks like she is plastered. Gretchen, who is an old friend, helps escort her out of the house. She is crying saying, “Really, over a piece of cake?! Is this the world we live in?” as she put into the limo by Slade and some other woman, not sure at all who she was, but knew Sarah, apparently.

Back to the party, Vicki calls her son-in-law Ryan over to talk. She apologized to him for the fight she had with Brianna because he got brought into it, but ultimately she is smart enough to say to him “Help me get my daughter back”. They go back and forth a bit, he was a bit defensive, but did say to her, “I will help you get your daughter back if I can” in so many words. She hugged him and said “Thank you, I love you because you love my daughter, even though I hardly know you, this is going to be weIRD” (high pitched voice at the end).

Flash to Brooks asking Alexis her where Jim is and she tells him “he is not going to show up because he just didn’t want to be there and respects his stance”. And then…we see Jim walking through the front door unbeknownst to Alexis. Ah, Bravo Reality TV at it’s finest…

Alexis goes to join the ladies, who ask why she is isn’t drinking and insist she have a drink. In the meantime, Jim walks into the party, sees Terry, he smiles at him as if to say “welcome” and as Alexis is getting poured a glass of champagne, Jim comes up to her, taps her on the shoulder and says, “excuse me, can I get you a drink?”. It was VERY cute and romantic. Alexis freaked out, was clearly very happy to see him, said to Heather “you knew all along”, of which she hotly denied, and is just plain ecstatic to see her husband and gives him a big hug and kiss. Looking at Heather’s expression, I don’t believe her at all, even before I saw Terry give him a smile. No matter, it was very sweet to see Alexis’s shock and happiness all rolled into one. Heather says to her camera when she saw him she thought “trouble”. Ok, so how did TERRY know (because he didn’t look surprised). Small point, just not so sure both hosts didn’t know he was going to show up.

Terry and Heather, after Jim makes a crack about how “Jim grew a pair” to Jeana and Eddie. Oh, I guess men have their bitchy/Tamra moments, too. I can imagine how uncomfortable Jim must be feeling at this point.

We see Vicki standing with Brooks and her kids who are all watching Gretchen and Tamra having a huge hug/hug, kiss/kiss moment. She was clearly getting jealous and went over to “talk” to Tamra with brown lipstick in her hand, in reference to calling Tamra a “brown noser” for being friends with G. She tried to get Tamra to close her eyes and T. refused knowing full well what Vicki was trying to do. Then Alexis walks up to intervene…she and Vicki fake kiss each other, just to make a point to Tamra and Gretchen. How in God’s name can T and G ever trust each other after all the mud slinging from previous seasons??? Both their REAL BFFs have proven to be true best friends to each of them, Alexis to Gretchen and Vicki to Tamra. Their new friendship is only 5 months old. I have to say, though, it was funny to see V. say to the camera about their connection, “I don’t trust it. If it looks like a rat, smells like a rat, then it is a rat”. She needs to look at her man a little more…not saying he IS a rat, but well, she needs to not be so quick to judge uhhh, “rat like situations”. However, I understand, as a woman, her reaction to the new alliance between Gretchen and Tamra. It is weird, especially given the way those two have treated each other.

Next scene is Terry, Slade and Gretchen talking. Jim walks up to say “hi”. Terry puts his arm around Jim and asks if he “is okay”. Jim says something to the affect of “we’ll talk next week”. After all, truth is out, Terry called his wife “phony”. Terry wanted to talk now so Alexis spoke up and said it is “awkward for them to not go talk”. And Jim shows his true colors by saying to Alexis, “Really? Are you wearing the pants in the family?” in front of Gretchen and Slade. G’s reaction was “HUH?!”…as I think all of us were. Kind of sad to see and Alexis looked a little humiliated. It was, luckily, a very brief moment and the two men go off to talk.

Jim starts the conversation off with saying you said, “my wife is the phoniest person I have ever met” and they flash back to the scene where the four of them, Gretchen, Eddie, Heather and Terry, are out having dinner and Terry just said “phony” in reference to Alexis. He explains himself further and tells him he meant that she comes across as someone she isn’t, so credit to him for not trying to backtrack and being honest. Then, Heather shows up, puts her arm on Terry and says “What’s going on?”. Jim clarifies, “This is exactly why I wanted to have lunch next week”. He is reassured she is “benign”. As much as it is hard to take Jim at times and his chauvinistic ways, I do feel for him in this moment. Heather begins to speak and then Tamra joins their little conversation. Jim immediately gets up, says “I can’t take this” and walks out.

Gretchen is the one to tell Alexis she saw Jim walk out. She first went to Heather to ask what happened, she tells her they were all talking, and she leaves to go see Jim. Rightfully so, she said it should have been a conversation between the TWO of them, not with the other ladies involved. I can see why Jim felt ambushed. Sadly he starts to drive off without her and she chases after him and he is able to get her before actually leaving.

The whole rest of the crew join Terry, Heather and Tamra. They all toast to Alexis, Tamra didn’t like Vicki doing that and rolled her eyes. Brooks spoke up and said “Really? You want to go there?” to her and she said “Absolutely”. Brooks felt like Tamra gave her the “evil eye”. Then Gretchen gets involved by saying “things have been brewing between them” which only incensed Vicki more because G. was getting involved in her friendship with Tamra. Tamra defends herself and says “I didn’t give you the evil eye” and then within a NY minute, she stands up and starts yelling at him. Vicki and Tamra start yelling at each other. I had to rewind it a few times to make sure I did see what kind of expression Tamra had on her face, but she did look very upset when Vicki cheered Alexis. It was definitely a strong reaction, but the camera didn’t show her giving an “evil eye” to Vicki, however she admitted to the camera that she did roll her eyes. However, she felt like Brooks was trying to start a fight for calling her out on her rudeness. Evil eye or not, it was an ugly fight, Brooks did come across as defending his woman, and Tamra was very rude to Vicki. In fact, she yelled “Relax, Vicki. Stop letting him tell you what to think!”. It was at that point that Vicki yelled at Tamra “I don’t let him tell me what to think!” and then both Vicki and Brooks left very abruptly.

As they were going to get their things, Vicki was saying “I don’t know who that person is. I need to get my purse and get out of here,” mink coat still draped around her (she never once took it off). Tamra comes rushing up and says “Why are you leaving?!”. Vicki starts shouting at her “You don’t EVER talk that way to me or to him!!” in so many words. She was pretty hysterical. As much as I feel Vicki can be two-faced, throws stones from a glass house, on this one I have her back. Tamra did not need to cause a scene between them at that moment. Although Brooks did say something to her, her reaction was so incredibly visceral when Vicki cheered Alexis, I can see why he stood up for Vicki. After all of this insanity, Vicki says to the camera, “Tamra can go have Gretchen because she just lost me as a friend”.

Briana spoke to Vicki and asked her what to happened. They both are very concerned about Vicki and Brooks and confirm that Vicki is losing it over this man who has no job, has 4 kids, and no home and is living off of her. I totally understand their points, as does the rest of the world, but this was just a fight that had been brewing between the two of them. It was BAD timing and in POOR taste. Both Briana and Tamra have been very spiteful toward Vicki regarding Brooks and as a result, her defenses have gone up. Its a tricky situation all around.

Ryan walks up to see what is going on. Vicki is freaking out and asks him to get Briana from the party because she doesn’t want her to “be poisoned by Tamra”. He leaves to get her, trying to help out, in the meantime Heather walks out to talk to Vicki and Brooks. She is trying to calm her down and let her know that she still really wants her to be there, they are about to do a huge toast, and she asks very kindly for them to stay. In the meantime, Briana walks up, Heather walks in agreeing to give them a minute, and mother and daughter go talk. Briana asks her mom for her opinion and basically says, “You don’t see how Brooks may have perpetuated the situation?” after she confirms she saw Tamra give the “evil eye”. Good god, Tamra is known to give dirty looks all the time when she is angry, this is not something new. Briana is really upset, doesn’t like Brooks at all and he is worried about her mother, and really wasn’t trying to listen to her side of the story. She felt like her mother is shunning them, her kids and her best friends. At this point, Vicki is so upset she does only listen to Brooks, who is the voice of reason and says “let’s just go back into the party”. Vicki and Briana need to learn that attacking Brooks is going to alienate them.

Tamra is inside crying to Gretchen and everyone else. Heather then starts her speech about taking her husband’s last name and thanking everyone for being there. Vicki gives a speech that is VERY weird, which is “I want to congratulate the two of you. I know this evening has been weird but when I get confronted I fight back. I love Brooks and either you are in or you are out”. WHAT???!!? Her daughter just looked crushed. Tamra said to the camera, “…I am out”.

Back to the party, everyone just trying to be happy and discuss all the changes that have occurred. The dynamics are now totally different. Nope, Vicki is not friends with Tamra to this day and last I read, her daughter and her are doing better. Heather is still planning on opening up her restaurant as a DUBROW . Vicki is getting married to Eddie in the fall. Gretchen and Slade are talking about having a baby, he is getting his vasectomy reversed, but no ring involved…yet. Alexis is no longer with Fox 5, she and Jim are opening up a trampoline park (?!) and she is not sure who her friends really are. This season was definitely unpredictable, hands down.

Finale Part 1: Let Them Eat Cake:

Tamra meets Heather and Gretchen for dinner to announce her new engagement to Eddie and show off her new ring. Heather is thrilled for Tamra but wants to know what Gretchen will think. After all, she and Slade have been together for 3 years and she is not ready to marry him. Truth be told, both Vicki and Gretchen are a little worried that she is jumping into quickly after JUST getting divorced – one thing they both agree on. Vicki apparently never returned T’s call after she got back, which is very telling about her not feeling too close to V. right now.

Next scene: Alexis and Sarah meeting for dinner. Alexis told her all about the “intervention”. They both agree that she was unfairly attacked, especially since it was not exactly done in the friendliest sense. Sarah gives her massive support. Alexis ends up inviting to her to Heather’s party, a celebration in honor of her taking her husband’s last name after 10 years of marriage, which wasn’t exactly her place to do. Sarah is All About being there to support her friend.

We then flash to Brooks buying Vicki a fur, who is thrilled to pieces. I just wonder if it was from her checking account… Vicki says “The guy can afford a fur, shut up everyone”. Right. They go in a limo to the party for Heather. She expresses concern about seeing Brianna at the party, since they have not spoken since their big fight.

Eddie and Tamra on their way to the party in their own limo. She tells him she spoke to Vicki who made it clear she feels they are moving too fast. Both are surprised by her reaction.

Next limo ride: Alexis and Sarah on their way to the party. Alexis is still hurt by what everyone said to her and hopes things just go smoothly.

We see Gretchen and Slade on their way to the party in yet another limo (thank you, Bravo, for all the limo rides!). Gretchen is concerned about what is going on with Alexis and how they will handle things tonight.

Back to Vicki and Brooks, she tells him she felt it was unfair how they ganged up on Alexis.

At Heather’s house, she and Terry are getting ready for the party. Terry asks if she thinks Alexis will say something to him but Heather says no, that would be too rude, in so many words. Flash to the limo with Alexis and Sarah. She asks A. if she will say something to Alexis, who admits she is still very hurt by the whole thing but no, she is not going to say anything at the party. Big mouth Sarah says SHE will say something for her. Alexis quickly kills that notion. Heather concludes with her husband that if she actually says anything inappropriate to her she will intervene and end it.

Tamra and Eddie are the first to arrive. Drinks are ready to be served right away (my kinda party). Everyone looks out over the beautiful view facing the ocean. Next to arrive is Alexis and Sarah who, according to Heather is “uninvited and looks like a stripper”. Which, actually, the dress was a walk on the wild side. However, Heather handles it very well and tells them to both get a drink very graciously. Vicki and Brooks arrive and V. makes a big deal about how Brooks bought it. Tamra calls it to the camera in her interview and says “bullshit”. My thoughts exactly and if he DID buy that, shouldn’t that money GO TO HIS KIDS of which he is behind on back payments? Next, Slade and Gretchen arrive. Everyone meets and greets, hugs and kisses, and look at the beautiful view.

Tamra talks to, or tries to, with Vicki’s son about Brianna and her accusations against Brooks. He looked angry and said “I don’t know and don’t want to talk about it”. He shut that topic down real quick.

Brianna and her hubby arrive. They are all very polite to each other and Vicki wants pics taken of all of them with the beautiful background.

Alexis wisely takes Heather to the side and tells her to start drinking water because she is obviously getting a little drunk.

After that, Jeanna arrives, which makes Tamra a little nervous. Vicki is very happy to see her. Of course, she introduces Brooks right away and brags about her new coat. Jeanna and her daughter talk about Brianna and her wedding, which surprised them. Tamra keeps watching as they all talk.

Jeanna’s daughter pulls Tamra aside to talk about what happened with her mother and is defending her mom as any good daughter would do. Vicki started crying saying how hard it was for her friend to take Simon, her ex husband’s side. Both mother and daughter cleared up that they were not trying to take sides. Tamra wisely apologizes for her behavior with throwing the drink in her face. Both agree to make peace and hug it out, even though neither are happy with the others actions in the past, but best to be mature and move on…

And then…someone we don’t know, one of Heather’s friends, informs Heather that Sarah ate the bow off her cake, which is obviously rude. Everyone walks up to Sarah to confirm that yes, she ate the bow, who claimed she has “sugar problems”. Vicki and Tamra are shocked. Heather was pissed off, to say the least, as was Terry. Alexis understands why they are upset but thought they overreacted. Ummm, no….that was incredibly disrespectful and clearly she was ten sheets to the wind. To put it directly, that move was tacky as hell. Sarah defends her actions and seems to simply not understand that was gauche. Sarah calls Heather “fake and pretentious” - in her own house. Sarah, I hope you don’t become a Housewife because your antics are just ridiculous and not worthy of getting on the show. All the while, Alexis still feels they went overboard with their reactions toward Sarah. I think Alexis is just feeling defensive, period, toward these women, given how they treated her in Costa Rica (which was WAY out of line).
